The Uganda Network of Young People Living with HIV/AIDS (UNYPA) is a direct member of the National Forum of People Living with HIV/AIDS (NAFOPHANU) with a membership of 50,000 young people living with HIV/AIDS in the country so far.

The project is implemented in a consortium of 12 SRHR Alliance partners with a common vision of a society where all young persons have equal rights and access to SRHR information and services to make healthy choices in line with the Rights Based Approach (RBA). The role of UNYPA in this project is to strengthen the capacity of YPLHIV to demand and utilize integrated sexual reproductive health and HIV services in three districts of Eastern Uganda (Iganga, Bugiri, &Jinja).

The project is implemented in a consortium of 12 SRHR Alliance partners with a common vision of a society where all young persons have equal rights and access to SRHR information and services to make healthy choices in line with the Rights Based Approach (RBA). The role of UNYPA in this project is to strengthen the capacity of YPLHIV to demand and utilize integrated sexual reproductive health and HIV services in three districts of Eastern Uganda (Iganga, Bugiri, &Jinja).

Strengthening Adolescent Health in Uganda (SAHU) is 6 month grant implemented in the 13 districts across Uganda (Wakiso, Kamuli, Iganga, Kotido, Kabong, Nakapiripit, Moroto, Arua, Adjunani , Kiryandngo, Hoima, Kyenjojo and Kasese) and it contribute towards the realization of Output 1.2 Strengthen advocacy and community mobilization for adolescent HIV care and treatment and Output 2.3. Promote the generation and utilization of information on Adolescents, through research, monitoring & evaluation

CRG SI is a three year project 2018 -2020 funded by the Global Network of People Living with HIV with an aim of providing a significant role of key groups of populations including young people affected by the three diseases in Global Fund activities; guarantee significant participation of main affected key groups of population during all granting cycle (from participation into national dialogue and program development to grant implementation) and support community participation on all levels of Global Fund activities

Established in 2015, the Right Here Right Now (RHRN) Uganda platform is composed of 14 civil society organizations working to ensure the realization of improved social political and policy environment for the health of all young people in Uganda. The platform focuses on advocacy aimed at recognizing an inclusive environment for the realization of reproductive health rights of young people in Uganda.

In Uganda, Link Up aims to reach 275,000 young people with integrated SRHR/HIV information and services through community based intervention and public private partnerships at facility level.

The mapping exercise is to systematically conduct a situation and needs assessment, policy analysis of the Young Persons Living with HIV/Aids in the three piloting districts of Iganga, Tororo and Bugiri.

It was the greatest event to have happened in the circles of young people living with HIV as they came and supported each other, shared their experiences and leant from each other. But most importantly, it was a platform that gave space for young people living with HIV across the country to gain skills in advocacy and leadership.

The beauty pageant that was under the theme “Beauty with Zero discrimination” was organised in a bid to empower young people and to give them hope of a bright future, living positively.
